Online Lantern Floating Event 2021

Would you like to send a message on a lantern with a prayer for peace?
You can send your pray to Hiroshima from wherever in the world you are.

On August 6, the day of the atomic bombing in Hiroshima, lanterns are floated on the river to commemorate those who passed away in the bombing.

Although it may take a little longer for you to float the lanterns directly on the river in Hiroshima like before, you can create your own lanterns on your PC or mobile and float them.
Please type a message with pray for peace.




You can create your digital floating lantern with message for free on the following website until August 15, 2021.

The messages you send will then be shown on 18 digital signages throughout the city of Hiroshima.
Especially on August 6, more messages from more people will be posted.

One of the oldest Onsen -hot spring- in Japan: Dogo Onsen (Matsuyama, Ehime)

Dogo Onsen, said to be the oldest hot spring in Japan, can be reached in about two hours from Hiroshima Port by high-speed ship and bus . If you take a ferry and a bus, it takes about 3 hours and 40 minutes; some of the ferry services are operated by a comfortable ferry called "SEA PASEO". It carries you to Ehime Prefecture in the Shikoku Region as if you were enjoying the wide Setonaikai (=Seto Inland Sea) National Park from a park on a ship.
