Wouldn't you like to know more about the history of Hiroshima?
Most of us living in Hiroshima are generations who have never experienced the atomic bomb nor war.
The photos remaining after the atomic bomb and the war tell us not only the tragedy, but also the lives of families and friends that certainly existed there.
Let us share the website here that the local newspaper “The Chugoku Shimbun” archives those miracle photos.
The title of the page is “ヒロシマの空白”, which meaning is "the blank period of Hiroshima".
The top page is mostly in Japanese, but if you click the Menu button on the upper right, you will recognize the English options.
Click Map or List to see the photos.
It may be clearer for you to see by the "Map".
Click “Map” to jump to the page that contains the map.
The four colored-icons displayed on the upper left of the map indicate; before the bombing (green), right after the bombing (orange), testimony (blue), and video (pink) from the left.
Please click the green icon "before the bombing", then you will see the lives in Hiroshima before the atomic bombing.
